In APIZALS we have thought of releasing a free e-book which contains pieces of writing from student-teachers at teacher education programmes (profesorados) and students from licenciaturas in English in Patagonia. The aim is to encourage interinstitutional dialogue and motivate our student-teachers to write and publish in a reader-friendly environment.

The idea is that teacher-trainers/teacher-educators encourage and advise their students to submit their manuscripts after giving them feedback. Submissions could be texts already written for a subject, for example, an essay for Lengua Inglesa III. A panel of APIZALS members will select the best pieces to be included in the e-book.

  • Who can send us a manuscript?

Students from profesorados and licenciaturas at tertiary/university level with the support of their teacher-educators.

  • What pieces can be sent?

Manuscripts could be: argumentative essays, short stories, poems, and reflective pieces. See the form below.

  • What guidelines do potential authors need to follow?

Students can send only one manuscript. A manuscript could have a maximum of three authors. All manuscript must be original.

Maximum length: 2,000 words.

Do not format your piece in any way except for using double-spacing.

  • Is there a deadline?

Yes, you must submit your piece between May and November 2018.

When you submit the form below, make sure you also attach a “certificado de estudiante regular” as proof of your student status.
